The way to understand what gives Common, Good, Great, and Superb
materials is entirely dependent on the island difficulty.

The Archipealago in Wagadu has three types of islands, representing
different Biomes.

Every Biome has its own resources and they all have different stones
to be found.

* The Grasslands/Savannah Biome is on the western side, and are
represented by the red color. This Biome has Sandstone, Drywoods,
and Drystems.
* The Desert Biome is on the center side, and is represented by a
yellow color. This biome has Limestone, and, like the Savannah Biome,
it also has Drywoods and Drystems.
* The Forest/Jungle Biome is on the eastern side, and is represented
by a green color. This biome has Granite, Forestwoods, and Foreststems.

Regarding METAL, the Desert Biome ALSO has Salt Crystal deposits, which
can be used to gather Lithium Salts, which are considered a “Metal”
resource, the only of its kind thus far, not counting the “Ore Manilas”
you can craft with Mining 5 recipes.

Finally, regarding “ORE”, it can only be found in max difficulty islands
(3/3), while mining for Superb Stone, and with relative ease while mining
a special type of stone deposit that resembles a couple of big rocks,
surrounded by various little ones.

The exception seems to be Limestone, which looks like several stones
stacked on one another, creating an hourglass silhouette, basically a
big stone on the bottom, with a small stone on the middle, and medium
sized stone on the top.

* Granite yields Tin and Iron
* Sandstone yields Gold and Silver
* Limestone yields Copper
