Easy money without cheats: -------------------------- You have multiple options, of which writing novels is the one that can make you very rich, very fast: 1.Start writing novels on your computer. Write fiction novels as they take the least time. They will not bring you too much cash. 2.When you write your skill will automatically advance. If your skill is high enough you will be able to write more novel types / genres. 3.The most money can be made from "Romance Novels". You get royalties for 6 weeks once you finish a book. 4.With the "writing" skill maxed out, you can make around 40.000 every week, which is more than 34.800 you get by purchasing all neighborhood businesses and takes less time to achieve. 5.In three game weeks you should have super high-speed writing, 9/10 novels as best- sellers and 100.000 Aging: ------ Instead of using a cheat code to toggle "aging on" and "aging off" like in The Sims 2, you can de-activate the age in "Options", then "Game Options". Clothes: -------- To get new clothes, you must first have to buy a dresser from "Buy Options". Once there click "Plan Outfit". You can put a total of three different clothes for each type (formal, every day, athletic, etc.) Easy money: ----------- Start writing novels on your computer. Write fiction novels as they take the least amount of time. They will not bring you too much Simoleons. When you write, your skill will automatically advance. In three game weeks you should have a very high speed writing, 9 or 10 novels as best sellers and 100,000 Simoleons Making friends easily: ---------------------- It's really simple to be friends with the whole neighborhood, just watch these steps: 1.Buy a guitar then play it to learn how to play guitar. 2.Keep playing until you reach 5/10 level which gives you the ability to "play for tips" 3.When you have the ability, go to the park with the guitar in your inventory. 4.When you are in the park, click on the guitar in your inventory and select "play for tips" People watching you will become your friends if you keep playing. I guess the more your guitar skill is, faster they become friends of you. Free bookcase skills: --------------------- Buy a bookcase, then have your sim start to study. Interrupt the action so that the book it placed on the ground, then simply sell the bookcase. The book can then do everything the bookcase could have done for free. For Poor Families: ------------------ The trick is that no matter how many times you use an object, if you sell it in the same day, you can get all your money back. So if your Sim is poor and needs body points or something, buy a body machine and keep selling it back to refund all your money. Disgusting Faces: ----------------- There is a glitch in character creation mode where you can make absolutely disgusting faces. The trick is that if you go to the face designing area and you select a face part such as the eyes and max out all the sliders one way or the other, then go to a different face part and select one of the PREDESIGNED parts, and then come back to the eyes, the sliders will have reset in the middle, but the eyes will still look the same. This works for all of the face adjusting tabs. Exploiting this, you can make eyes the size of dinner plates, cheekbones 4 feet long, and a HUMUNGOUS nose, to name a few. Saving Pizza: ------------- Have a sim call for pizza. When the pizza delivery guy comes DON'T accept the pizza! The pizza delivery guy will eventually leave the pizza on the front porch, and the pizza will never get stale. You can stack as many pizzas as you want, so if your sims get hungry, just tell them to get a pizza from the front porch. Use your own videos for the TV: ------------------------------- It's possible to watch your own videos on the Sim-TV. You must put the video you want into My DocumentsEA GamesThe Sims 2MoviesBroadcast (the TV sender you want). If you then turn on the TV in the game you can watch it! The video must be .avi-clips and the clips shouldn't be larger then 128x128 pixel also it shouldn't have more then 15 frames per second. Listen to music included with game: ----------------------------------- First, open your The Sims 2/TSData/Res/Sound directory. The names of radio stations, plus a few more including Build mode and Neighborhood music should be here in *.package files. Copy and paste the file corresponding to whatever you want to listen to into another folder. Rename it from [File].package to [File].mp3. You can now listen to the sound/songs included in the file. Listen To Mp3's On Sim Radio: ----------------------------- First get whatever Mp3's you want to put on the game, then open up MyDocuments/EAGames/ TheSims2/Music/(whatever RadioStation you want your song on). Then, Drag your MP3 into the folder. Now, start Sims 2 then go to options menu, then music settings, then the Radio Station, then pick witch songs you want the radio to play. You can now listen to your favorite songs in your Sims game. Turn off Aging: --------------- In the options menu you can choose the gameplay settings. When you uncheck the box before "Aging" the sims won't become older anymore. You can also slow aging down in this menu by setting the lifetime bar. It's changeable from 25 days too 960 days. Cooking Skill Exploit: ---------------------- Note: This glitch requires a TV with a cooking channel and a video game system. First, have one Sim sit down and watch TV. Switch the TV over to the cooking channel so that the Sim can start earning its skill point. Now, have a second Sim go over and start playing video games. You should now notice that although the TV is displaying video games, the first Sim still has the skill meter above its head! Simply allow this Sim to sit there until it decides to go do another activity on its own. After that, the skill meter should stay above its head until you start another cooking skill activity. As an added bonus, you can train two skill points at once! i.e., Go work out and both the athletic and cooking skills will continue to rise. Using the "testingcheatsenabled" Command: ----------------------------------------- This testingcheatsenabled cheat allows you to do several useful things when used properly. First, hold CTRL+SHIFT+C (CTRL+SHIFT+WindowsKey+C for Vista) and enter this code: testingcheatsenabled true Now, hold SHIFT and click your letterbox. This will provide you with these options: * Make All Happy * Force Visitor * Set Career * Set level You may also hold SHIFT and click on Sims to get these options: * Add Sim to House * Change Sim Traits * Force Aging Work place * Force Opportunity * Force Event * Force All Events Any Sim * Trigger Age Transition * Modify Traits Active Sim * Modify Traits for Active Sim Non-household Sim * Add to Household Moodlet Panel * Remove a Moodlet from the Moodlet Panel. Note: If it is motive induced, the bar related to the negative Moodlet will be completely filled. In Ground View mode, hold SHIFT and click a spot and your Sim will teleport to it. Easter Egg: EA Games: --------------------- When your Sims take a video game break, you can zoom in on the TV and identify various EA games on the tiny screen. Strange faces: -------------- There is a glitch in Create-A-Sim mode that allows to you to make very strange faces. Go to the face designing area. Select a face part such as the eyes and max out all the sliders one way or the other. Then go to a different face part and select one of the predesigned parts. Return to the eyes. The sliders will have reset to the middle, but the eyes will still look the same. This works for all of the face adjusting tabs. You can then continue to max out the size of the eyes and repeat. You can make eyes the size of dinner plates, very long cheekbones, huge noses, and more. Testing cheats: --------------- Enable the testingCheatsenabled true code, then enter one of the following codes at the console window to activate the corresponding cheat function. You may now also hold [Shift] and click your mailbox to access the options: "Make All Happy", "Force Visitor", "Set Career", and "Set Level". You can hold [Shift] and click on Sims to access the options: "Add Sim To House", "Change Sim Traits", and "Force Aging". Finally, you can teleport a Sim in Ground View mode by holding [Shift] and clicking on a destination. Zoom in on the television to see that the games they are playing are various Electronic Arts titles. Avoiding death: --------------- Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard. Near the gate is a bush called "Death Flower Bush". Harvest the flower from it, and keep it in your Sim's inventory. If you die, that Sim will give the flower to the Grim Reaper and be resurrected. Although the flower will not reappear there again, if your Sim has Level 7 Gardening, they can plant the "Unknown Special Seeds" found in the graveyard and some other places that have a chance to grow as a Death Flower. Note: Having the Green Thumb trait to revive the plant may help. Saving money: ------------- No matter how many times you use an object, if you sell it in the same day you can get all your money back. If your Sim is poor and needs body points or something else, buy a body machine and keep selling it back to get a refund of all your money. Gender of Babies: ----------------- Must have a pregnant female. * Eating apples will increase your chances of having boys! (i.e. 3 apples = 3 boys) * On the other hand, eating watermelons will increase your chances of having girls! (i.e. 3 watermelons = 3 girls) To have increased chances of twins or triplets have one or both parents have the lifetime reward of fertility treatment. I heard this from someone else. I had my pregnant female eat three watermelons to test it out and it worked! She had 3 triplet girls. Baby Tips: ---------- Submitted by: Roy Cheat * If you want a girl baby, eating 3 watermelons while pregnant will increase your chances. * If you want a boy baby, eating 3 apples while pregnant will increase your chances. * Reading pregnancy books from the bookstore will help in having a happy baby. * To have an increased chance of having twins or triplets, have one or both parents have the lifetime reward of Fertility Treatment. Learn four skills at once: ------------------------- Read "Easy Cooking, Gardening, or Fishing Skill" by Tony Ortale. Keep repeating Tony's steps until each skill channel has been viewed. The Sim will keep learning the three skills as he or she goes on about their daily life, and four when doing skill activities. Learning all guitar songs from books: ------------------------------------- Have your Sim reach Guitar skill level 5. Have a level 5 book in their inventory, click the guitar, then select "New Song" to learn it. After reaching Guitar skill level 6, do the same thing with a level 6 book. Repeat the process until the Sim reaches Guitar skill level 10, and they will know all songs that were taught. Force Twins: ------------ Bring up the cheat console (See above cheats), click on a pregnant Sim to control it, then enter this code in the console to have twins: forcetwins Rubber Duckie: -------------- Buy the Ducksworth of Bathington and place this in your bathtub. Now everytime a sim uses this bath, they get the Duck Time moodlet which gives a +15 boost for four hours. Have a Ghost Baby: ------------------ How to do it: * Set one of your Sim's traits to Kleptomaniac (Sim must be female). * Go to graveyard. * Wait until Sim steals remains or tell sim to swipe something (remains must be male). * On the second day since stealing grave and putting it in home, the ghost will appear at 11:00pm and disappear at 4:00am it will appear every other day. * Socialize with ghost every night it appears until you are at best friend ghost will then begin appearing every night. * get fertility reward. * Confess attraction to ghost. * ask to snuggle on bed, kiss. * Try for baby every night until you start throwing up. * Congrats! You're now having a ghost's baby! (It will be born as a ghost that you can control). Advance Age Phase: ------------------ * To change your sims age phase (toddler, child, teen and so on) without waiting for the transition to come on its own, buy a birthday cake from the grocery store. * Place this somewhere on your lot. Click on it and select "Have Birthday". Then choose which sim you want to age up. This is a good way to get past the annoying baby stage. Painting Brilliant Paintings/Masterpieces: ------------------------------------------ Having trouble painting a brilliant painting or masterpiece? Try making a stylized still life when it is unlocked. Choose Genius and make it the largest possible frame, and you will have a MUCH higher chance of getting a brilliant painting/masterpiece! Ghosts in your house: --------------------- Start by going to the graveyard. Once there, click all the tombstones. With any of them that say "Pick Up" or "Take", do so. Once you are sure you have all the tombstones you can get, return to your house. Place them outside somewhere in your backyard. You now have a 70% chance of a ghost or two, or even a whole party of ghosts visiting your house each night. To improve your chances, write in the epitaph "Here Lies , The One Who Returns". Duck Time moodlet: ------------------ Buy the Ducksworth of Bathington, and place it in your bathtub. When a Sim takes a bath, they will get the Duck Time moodlet which results in a +15 boost for four hours. Creating brilliant paintings or masterpieces: --------------------------------------------- Create a stylized still life after it is unlocked. Spore reference: ---------------- Have a Sim reach the top painting level to have the ability to create masterpieces. One of the paintings that can be created is that of a creature from Spore. Maternity clothes are customizeable: ------------------------------------ Before your sim is showing have you sim go to the dresser and plan outfit and the "ugly" outfits are in there (the dress-like one is under full outfit well the other one is just is under "top" the other ones like formal, sleepwear are under the other categories) when you find the outfit you (your sim) can wear (dress-like outfit) customize it and it will work. Live long, live short: ---------------------- Heres an easy way to make the life of your sims longer, or shorter! First click on the large button on the tool bar on the bottom left hand side, then click on options. On one of the tags in the options you'll find the sims life spand button. You can change the life spand of your sims. Make it short and sweet or Long and Epic. The only down fall is that the other sims that you have no control of will not age for a long time or short time like your sims. So if you want to age with your friends its best to just set the sims life spand to normal. Increase lifetime happiness points: ----------------------------------- Go into the lifetime rewards for the selected Sim. Hold [Ctrl] and click rapidly near the chest icon to increase the points. Clean Dishes: ------------- Too lazy to take the time to clean up dishes? Just drag the empty plate in to the Sims inventory and then drag to sell. You won't make any money but if your Sim doesn't have a dish washer, its fast and efficient. Stuck wall: ----------- In Build mode on any lot, try to create a wall on the tiles directly next to the sidewalk. The game will not allow this, and state that the location is out of bounds. If you try to build a wall diagonally in this area however, even though the game will state that the location is out of bounds, it will allow you to build it. The wall will be stuck here and the game will not let you delete it. The only way to remove it is to use the "move_objects" on code. Swimming in the Swimming Ground: -------------------------------- First, make your sim swim in a pool (it works better in a pool you made yourself). Now type this into cheatsbox: moveObjects on Now go into buying mode. You should be able to drag any object anywhere, including sims. Drag your sim out of the pool, and go on live mode. Your sim should start swimming where you dragged it. Build a basement: ----------------- 1.On a new lot, put down staircases to lower the terrain. Go to the bottom of the first one, miss out one tile and put down another staircase. Repeat this once more - you should have 3 staircases. 2.Delete the staircases. 3.Use the level terrain tool to level the terrain from the lowest tile. Make it as big or as small as you want. 4.Using the straight line wall tool, build walls around this hole, so now there's walls pressed up against hills 5.Build the room above, so it covers the whole basement. 6.Cover around the house with the foundation tool - all the slopes should be covered up 7.Put one tile in the top floor, and create a staircase leading down to the basement. 8.Make two or more foundation blocks at the front of the house, and place a staircase leading up them. Protection from Death: ---------------------- Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard, and near the gate, there is a strange bush called a "Death Flower Bush" - Harvest the flower from it. (it doesnt work on me) Fed up of school: ----------------- If your fed up of sending your sim to school then go to options on the lefthand side and click edit town,click bulldoze and delete the school. then any sims in the child age - the teenager age will not have to go to school and they will not get told of for it either. Learn to play the Guitar FASTER: -------------------------------- Go to the mail box and shift click it it'll come up with loads of options.. Then click MAKE NEEDS STATIC - This stops your needs going down so you can keep playing the guitar til you get to Level 10. Gold Digger: ------------ How to complete the life time wish "gold digger" create your sim. Active the cheat "testingCheatsenabled true" without quotations of course. Then type in "freerealestate" Pick a lot, don't need to worry about the money. Complete a few wishes in order to gain some lifetime points. Once you have 5,000 points, purchase the observant reward. The observant reward allows you to figure out 3 of a sims traits automatically upon greeting them, in addition, you get to see if they're rich. Locate your rich sims, find out their names. Once you have a name (a target) press shift and click on the mailbox at your house. Choose the option "Make me know everyone". The game might freeze for a moment, but it should be temporary. Once unfrozen, check you relationships list, under all and find them rich sim you want. On the bar below their picture, drag their bar all the way up on the right side (it should be green, making them your best friend). Now that you're best friends, put the moves on this sim, even if they're married, but don't let their spouse see. Once you've done enough romantic actions, you can request that they leave their spouse. Once they leave their spouse, entertain your target. Woohoo with them, try for a baby if you like. Afterwards, propose marriage. If they say yes, go for it. Have the wedding, a private ceremony or a party, it doesn't matter. Once you're married, kill the rich sim in any way you like once you grow tiered of him. Make sure the sims with the gold digger trait is around when he dies, so you can see their ghost and fufill the gold digger wish. Make You A 5-Star Celeb: ------------------------ Well, there may be another cheat here for this, but you need to live in a town with celebs and "meet" them for this. This way, you just need to be able to be a celeb. Press [shift]- [ctrl]-c at once to open the bar to enter cheats, and type "testingcheatsenabled true" in the bar. Then shift click on your sim, and there should be a button to choose celeb level. You'll know it when you see it. Just follow the the buttons and be a celeb! Triplets: --------- You know if you want to have triplets all you got to is: 1.Get your sim pregnant. 2.When it get about time to have the baby type in: Testingcheatsenabled true force triplets. 3.Or you can type type that in everyday while she pregnant. OK, so first, press [Ctrl] [Shift] [C] all together and that opens up the cheat bar up in the top. Type in testingCheatsenabled [true or false]. Type in true. Next, pause the game.. or play it, it does not matter. Then go to the mailbox and press [Shift] and click the mailbox at the same time. Press Make Me Know Everyone/Everybody. The go to the people you know tab and invite everybody you know. As soon as most of the people show up, pause the game. Then [Shift] click somebody. Then press the Change Sim In Create A Sim. Don't forget to buy all the items for babies. If you want, you can make new sims in edit town. Ghosts in your house: --------------------- Go to the graveyard, click on all the tombstones, and take all possible tombstones. Return to your house, and place them somewhere in your backyard. You now have a 70% chance of a ghost or two, or even a whole party of ghosts visiting your house each night. To improve your chances, write in the epitaph "Here Lies [Sim's name], The One Who Returns". Problems with Downloading Bought Items: --------------------------------------- If you just bought something from and you are trying to download it and its not letting you heres what to do. 1.When you go to click on Download, and then a small box pops up saying Error don't worry. Just clear you downloads page if you haven't yet. Don't worry you can retrieve them from the Store, My Store Account, and clicking on Purchase history. 2.If it pops up with Error again, switch out your game to the actually Sims 3 bases game, your expansion pack may no be capable with the Store for some odd reason. 3.If none of this has worked, then try turning your computer on/off. 4.If none of the above has worked, then re-install your Sims 3 base game. Cheat mode: ----------- Get all of the cheats on a "cheat gnome". Password What it does ------------------------------------------- ZOMBIES123 - Allows zombies in your town. NEWTOWN2324 - Gets a new town. How to bring a sim back to life: -------------------------------- If you have the expansion pack for it - get heaps of lifetime goals, but using cheat codes if you don't want to wait. One lifetime option is a genie, use the genie and ask for a wish, make sure you are near the tombstone of the sim you want alive, and she/he will come back to life. How to get past repoman: ------------------------ If you get the notice that the repoman's coming, don't lock the doors or put a fence around your house. I tried that. He walked right through the fence. However, if you put everything in your family inventory, he won't take it. Just make sure to get everything. I left a few lights in the house and he took those. I don't know if he'll take windows. |
