Speedrun Tips: -------------- Written by muffinthief A collection of tips and skip to help you get all the speedrun achievements! also to help you just get better. -=Skips Length 4=- * Overview: parts of the game that are skip-able to help you complete it faster * Sword length: 4 In cavern three (blue) it is possible to skip the three platforms by simply running underneath them, and then when you reach the right wall hit the right MB / arrow key swinging you upwards. In the middle of the swing when you have upwards momentum hit the left MB / arrow key which will swing your sword left, hitting the third platform and pushing you against the right wall again. Then before you start falling down again hit the right MB / arrow key which will swing your sword on top of the right wall, and will swing you clockwise on top of it. This is faster then doing it the normal way, but very difficult. You may have to try a few times to get the hang of it, but don’t be discouraged, you will get it! In cavern four (brown) to skip everything, again simply run under everything until you hit the right wall. Then hold the right mb / arrow key, catching the top of the wall and swinging you up to hit the ceiling. Hold “D” until you leave the ground. Very quickly then switch to the left mb / arrow key and then back to the right. This will move you forwards. Repeat a couple times and you will get over it. -=Skips Length 5=- * Overview: parts of the game that are skip-able to help you complete it faster * Sword length: 5 In cavern three (blue) run under the platforms and place your sword tip in the junction between the floor, and the right wall. Then hold right MB / arrow key and “D”. this swings you clockwise on top of the wall. In cavern four (brown) repeat above steps (it’s exactly the same). In cavern five (gold) after the first obstacle run to the left wall and let your sword fall to the right. Then hold right MB / arrow key and “D”. this swings you clockwise on top of the ledge. In cavern five (gold) in the third obstacle instead of swinging up to the left platform and running off with the sword pointed right, stand on the right of the checkpoint and swing your sword right so the tip is just above the ledge. After you’ve stopped moving hold right MB / arrow key and you will swing all the way around on top of the ledge. In cavern five (gold) in the sixth obstacle run to the left wall and let your sword fall to the right then hold right MB / arrow key and “D” which will swing you up into the little tunnel. -=Tips=- * Stay calm, don’t freak out. * Don’t instantly hit “R” the second you do something wrong, as you can usually save it, and restarting at the checkpoint can take longer. * In the staircase up to the dragon with the length two sword don’t go right up to the wall / stair, instead stay just a little bit away from it so the swing won’t take as long |
