Important Note:  The game will not play without Duel Shock 2 compatible controllers, and
                 multiplayer requires the PS2 multi-tap also

Bonus characters
Successfully complete story mode to unlock more characters each time that it is finished.

Hidden FMV sequence
Successfully complete story mode with Sion.

Alternate costumes
At the character selection screen, hold L1, L2, or R2 and choose a person. Note: This has no effect in story mode.

Play as Leann Caldwell in versus mode
Play through the entire game, only selecting Kou. After you defeat Duragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Leann. Defeat her to unlock her in versus mode.

Play as Wong Leung in versus mode
Play through game with any character, but do not use Sion in the fight against Kaldea, and after that fight use Sion to complete the game. After you defeat Duragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Wong. Defeat him to unlock her in versus mode.

Play as Topless Duragon in versus mode
Successfully complete the game three times using any character. After defeating Duragon for the second time, he will get up again and fight topless. Defeat him to unlock that version of him in versus mode.

Play as Kou with MSF costume:
Play through story mode with any character. However, use Kou to infiltrate the Mikado Building. The MSF costume for Kou will now be unlocked in survival and versus modes.

Play as Sion with black hood costume:
Successfully complete survival mode by defeating the black-hooded version of Sion to unlock that costume in survival and versus modes.

Increased character rank:
Every time story mode is completed, the rank of the extra characters in survival and versus modes will increase. This does not include Volt, Sion, and Kou.

Kaldea (the panther) deaths:
Do not use Sion when you get separated or in the ship when fighting Kaldea.
Do not use Sion when you get separated, but use Sion when fighting Kaldea in the ship.
Use Sion when you get separated and in the ship when fighting Kaldea.

Sion endings:
Normal ending:
Play through story mode, only using Sion.
Wong's ending:
Play through story mode, only using Kou or Volt. However, use Sion when fighting Dauragon. Sion will think about his master.
Kaldea's ending:
Do not use Sion when you get separated. Use Sion in the ship when fighting Kaldea (the panther) and in the final fight with Dauragon. Sion will remember what Kaldea said.
Dominique's ending:
Use Sion when you get separated, when fighting Kaldea (the panther) in the ship, and when fighting Dauragon to see Dominique's story.

Secret Characters
These secret characters can only be played in Versus and Survival Modes.

Unlock Echidna

Defeat Echidna in Story Mode.

Unlock One-Armed Dauragon

Defeat One-Armed Dauragon in Story Mode.

Unlock Dauragon

Defeat Dauragon in Story Mode.

Unlock Overall Dauragon

Defeat Overall Dauragon in Story Mode.

Unlock Shirtless Dauragon

Complete Story Mode two times. On your third game after you defeat Overall Dauragon, you'll have to face Dauragon again for the last time. Once Shirtless Dauragon's defeated, he's unlocked.

Unlock Mugetsu

Defeat Mugetsu in Story Mode.

Unlock Maskless Mugetsu

Defeat Maskless Mugetsu in Story Mode.

Unlock PD-4

Defeat PD-4 in Story Mode.

Unlock Dominique

Watch the scene where Dominique destroys the PD-4s in Story Mode. After that, she's unlocked.

Unlock Kaldea

Defeat Kaldea in Story Mode.

Unlock Wong

In Story Mode, have Volt or Kou infiltrate the Mikado Building. Next, have Volt or Kou fight Kaldea. Then, have Sion fight Dauragon. Then after that, Sion will flashback to the past where he is about to fight Wong. Defeat Wong to unlock him.

Unlock Leann

Use Kou to complete Story Mode. After that, Leann will fight Kou. Defeat Leann to unlock her.
