| Switching off the Flight Assist mode enables you to fly in one direction and shoot from another, which is invaluable for defeating faster enemies hot on your tail. The loud beeping you here when firing at a target might sound like the noise caused by a PC keyboard error, but it actually means you’re shots are making contact. The game encourages veteran players to ‘mentor’ newbies, so don’t be afraid to ask for help as most of the community is pretty welcoming and supportive. Completing missions earns you experience, which earns you better flying licences and access to better ships, weapons, and equipment. Just don’t expect to be flying the Millennium Falcon anytime soon, as progress is slow and – well – this isn’t a Star Wars game.
